We develop and sell automated ultrasonic inspection equipment to the players in the wind power industry. Our products ensure fast inspection, provide reliable data and reduce production costs.

Visualisation and documentation of quality and state

Our automated ultrasonic inspection equipment will optimise your inspection process whether it is carried out in-service or as a part of the production. Our equipment increases the inspection speed, provides reliable data and reduces your overall inspection costs.

Our high performance ultrasonic inspection system, the P-scan Stack System, can be applied for various NDT inspection jobs. The system gives you the best visualisation and most reliable data. Furthermore, it is the lightest and most robust all-in-one system available.

The P-scan Stack System enables you to visualise and document:

  • weld inspection
  • corrosion mapping
  • thickness and corrosion measurement
  • crack detection
  • TOFD defect sizing
  • production control.

The P-scan Stack System has a built-in scanner controller that allows scanners to connect to the system without extra hardware. Naturally, the system is compatible with our complete range of scanners.

How to choose the right scanner?

Choosing the right scanner depends on different factors such as, the size of the element requiring inspection, your production capacity and requirements for examination speed. Furthermore, it depends on whether your inspection is in-service or during production.

We develop and sell scanners for both situations. We divide our scanners into the following categories:

  • Mobile blade scanners
  • Track scanners (blades)
  • Autonomous scanners (blades)
  • Handheld blade scanners
  • Weld scanner (towers).
Below you can watch videos and look at photos of our scanners, as well as download product sheets and brochures. You can also contact us directly or one of our worldwide P-scan sales agents.

Mobile blade scanners

The AMS-60 and AMS-71 are our two forklift mounted scanner systems. They only require one operator and are our fastest ultrasonic inspection systems.
The AMS-71 monitors and sizes intra-laminar bonding defects as well as UD fiber waviness.  A full inspection is done in less than 1 hour.
The AMS-60 indicates fiber misalignments and UD fiber waviness (wrinkles) in spar caps and girders, along with laminate integrity, delaminations and voids.

Track scanners

Our product range contains five so-called track scanners. As the name suggests, the scanners performs the blade inspection while moving a long a track, typically attached to the blade with suction cups.
The ATS-1 is used for automated bond-line inspection on the main bonded joint between spar caps and shear web flanges. Attached to the blade with suction cups, the track ensures a stable and accurate scanning.
The AMS-57 and its sister scanner AMS-69 are fast, stand-alone scanners for automated ultrasonic inspection of assembled rotor blades that are positioned vertically.
The AMS-40 is a fast scanner for automated ultrasonic inspection of blade spars and assembled rotor blades that are horizontally positioned.

Handheld blade scanner

We have developed a small handheld scanner, which is ideal for spot-wise checks and for going into depth with areas of concern.
The MWS-6 is mainly used for inspection of composite materials. It indicates, maps and sizes UD fiber waviness (wrinkles) in spar caps and girders.

Autonomous scanner

The AMS-46 is autonomous in the way that it is remote controlled. The scanner "drives" on top of the blade placed in a horizontal position while performing ultrasonic inspection.
The AMS-46 is a go-cart looking scanner for automated ultrasonic inspection of rotor blades. It indicates delaminations and dry areas in girder composites.

Weld scanners

The AGS-2 weld scanner uses magnetic wheels is ideal for production control as well as in-service inspection of all tower welds. The AMS-41 is strictly for production control of circumferential butt welds and flange welds.
The AGS-2 is a scanner for automated ultrasonic inspection of all types of welds. It is applicable in both production control and on-site inspection.
The AMS-41 is designed to deliver fast and reliable ultrasonic inspection of circumferential butt welds and flange welds on wind turbine towers.
